The Mumbai Indians are essentially assured of a place in the final stages of the Indian Premier League, but they will be without one of their cheerleaders, who was thrown out of the IPL after it emerged that she was writing a "saucy" blog for the Alternative Cricket Almanack.
Gabriella Pasqualotto has returned home to South Africa after it came to light that she was the writer of "The Secret Diary of an IPL Cheerleader", in which she anonymously talks about her experiences in India and names some of cricket's more party-loving and flirtatious characters.
"Usually only after day matches there is an exclusive after party and at night is when it all happens. The music pumps, the drinks flow and the cricketers come and go … the real fun happens in the VIP rooms where the players and night owls can cause scandal!" Ms. Pasqalotto wrote.
"The likes of Jonty Rhodes and Albie Morkel are notorious for having a good time with friends! 'Ol Graeme Smith will flirt with anything while his girlfriend lurks behind him. The Aussies are fun but naughty, such as Aiden Blizzard and Dan Christian," she says.
This is hardly Wikileaks—few people would be surprised to hear that some sportsmen are flirtatious or enjoy a night on the town. Rest easy, Julian Assange.

According to a research conducted in UK by the Stroke Association, it was observed that around150,000 people in the country experienced stroke each year. Out of these individuals, 29000 strokestook place because of bleeding on the brain.
The bleeding on the brain takes place due to rupturing of blood vessels when blood pressureincreases. The increased blood pressure ruptures a weakened blood vessel known as aneurysm. Ithas been found that increase in blood pressure is linked with eight different risk factors. The factorthat tops the list of risk factors is coffee.
It has been seen that out of every ten cases of aneurysms burst more than one takes place due toconsumption of caffeine. It is true that individuals consuming coffee are just at 1.7 times higher riskin comparison to others. However, caffeine is known to be most common factor responsible behindthe problem of aneurysms burst.
Some other factors triggering bursting of aneurysms are strenuous exercising, nose blowing, sex, anda few others. According to a neurologist, Dr Monique Vlak, all the associated factors increase theblood pressure suddenly for a short duration that leads to aneurysmal rupture.
The researchers have said that the occurrences of aneurysms burst can be inhibited by cutting downon the consumption of caffeine. Despite conducting all these studies the researchers at The StrokeAssociation are unable to conclude whether these triggering factors [...]
Several Indian states are set to usher in new lawmakers to their assemblies for five-year terms come Friday, with almost a fifth of the country's more than 4,000 seats up for grabs in elections this year.

Some of them, especially the first-timers, may want to take advantage of a new option available to lawmakers: school.
This year, the New Delhi-based PRS Legislative Service think-tank, which analyzes parliamentary bills and offers research support to MPs, has launched leadership workshops for state lawmakers, who come to their jobs with a wide variety of work and educational experience. Once they're in their jobs, they don't get a lot of help in understanding policy and legislation.
